LKS is involved in community development programmes aimed at helping men and women to form Self Help Groups to develop micro enterprise programmes, income generation projects by providing capacity building programmes to Artisans in Handicraft sector and youth skill development training by following ways:
Computer Education – LKS conduct several training Batches on computer education in our training center for the poor youth girls and boys, they are getting computer trainings courses like TALLY, Corle draw, Adope Photoshop, Printing Technology, internet and Basic etc. after training many candidates start their own business or join as employee in several business houses. LKS have also plan to open new computer centers in villages where rural people do not have facility to learn computer.
Handicraft Development - LKS conduct capacity building workshops at Rajasansi, Dapai and kot khalsa etc. in Distt. Amritsar for carpet Artisans. LKS also fills the application form of artisans to help them make the ID card from the ministry of textile for participation in exhibitions and other business promotion activities, 492 ID Card application forms have been recommended to the Ministry of Textile, Govt. of India by LKS.
Youth Skill Development
LKS conducted skill development Trainings at Village Kakar, Attari and chogwan of distt Amritsar where Resource Persons gave the training on several Agriculture/Non Agriculture Trades like Electrical Motor Repairing, Tractor & Food processing etc. A number of trainees get benefited from these trainings.
